I was able to read this book last year.  Louis Zamperini just died last week after a long life of joy, struggle, and in the end, a life lived to God's glory.  I look forward to how his life is handled in this film, especially as Joel and Ethan Coen share screenwriting credit.

Two "Man of Steel" Trailers

So I was lucky enough to see a trailer for the new Superman movie, "Man of Steel", before the "Dark Knight Rises".  I came to find out later that there are actually two versions of the same trailer.  The footage is all the same, but one of them is narrated by Superman's Earth father (played by Kevin Costner) while one is narrated by his Krypton father(played by Russel Crowe).  Check 'em out...fun stuff:

This film that will come out in December is based on what may be my very favorite novel.  The trailer looks promising...especially director Baz Lurhmann's vision of Roaring 20's New York.  I am so excited to see this adaptation that I began reading the novel again tonight...
